Capacity (Number of Place Settings)-Dishwashers

A dishwashers capacity refers to the number of complete - place settings a dishwasher can accommodate or is also sometimes measured in terms of the maximum number of utensils the dishwasher can wash at a time. A standard place setting for one person includes a large plate, a small plate, a bowl, a cup and a saucer. Higher capacity machines are able to accommodate more complete sets of crockery. Dishwashers currently have 12 or 14 place settings.
